May I first and foremost thank all those who have been adhering to the pastoral and liturgical guidelines that have been periodically issued by various ecclesiastical authorities during this Covid-19 pandemic period. As stated in the Second Vatican Council Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy (Sacrosantum Concillium), the guidance on the manner of receiving Holy Communion lies within the competence of the conference of Bishops bearing in mind all the circumstances.
