Good afternoon brethrens,

On Saturday 15th Dec we had our grand reunion to mark the end of our 2018 calendar of events.

The event took place in Focolare Centre Uthiru from 9am. Starting with the celebration of Mass, then a talk by our Chaplain Fr. Dr. John Ndikaru wa Teresiah. He reminded us the need to invest more and also plan for tomorrow. He also reminded us that God has called us in different ways and therefore we should be very faithful to the vocations we have choosen. He stated the need for unity amongst our self and that we should all work together to uplift each other and for him he is ready to always offer service to the chaplaincy.

Alumni and YCS offices shared the brief annual reports of how the year has been before having some interactive sessions with team building activities like dancing competitions, creative ideas, advent songs among many others. At this time our chefs were preparing meals: Nyama Choma, Rice, Chapo, Beef stew, Kachumbari, fruits etc(just for those who missed. Hehe).

A visiting priest Fr Robin from Servants of Mary Langata shared his remarks and thanked the entire chaplaincy for the great work to bring people together to thank God and end the year together. He encouraged us to always remain united

A moment of cake cutting and tossing marked the end of the day as we retrieved and gifted our Christams Santa we had chosen in the morning.

Our host shared with us about Focolare, the Movement with a spirituality of Love and Unity and thanked us so much for choosing the venue.

Members were all thanked especially for making the day colourful and contributions that made the day a success. Also in absentia all those who contributed and those who are in diaspora were recognised.

Finally, we take this opportunity to thank the Almighty God for special graces in 2018, the organising committee who made it possible with good and fulfiling plans, our great MCs Richie, Sifa, Cate Musembi, Cate Kalunde, Jose Ngumo, Audi who made sure everyone was smilling since morning, We thank all who sacrificed to wake up early to go for shopping and also to help the chefs in preparations of meals. May God rewards you. We thank our Chaplain for the great sacrifice he made to be with us out of his tight schedule he had, Our host for countless good things they offered.

WE wish you all a happy happy Christmas and prosperous New year 2019.
