Due to lack of enough funds to facilitate the chaplaincy’s major project, a committee was formed being led by Mr Audi Victor to help raise cash for the video shooting through a Harambee. Several guests from different groups such as; the staff, non-staff, alumni, students and friends were invited by the Technical University of Kenya Catholic Chaplaincy members.
On 8th July 2018 was the date set for the Harambee as early as 6.30am most of the students had arrived to perform the tasks assigned to them. Lunch was prepared, the hall cleaned and well-arranged and choir rehearsals begun by 8am. Mass was celebrated by Rev Fr. Robin. After the Holy Mass, the Catalans entertained the guests. The Harambee begun at 2pm by contributions from different groups starting with the priest, who was the first to open the floor immediately after mass. Lunch was then served to everyone. The treasurer announced the results of Kshs 152,780 that had been collected, those in Mpesa and pledges from guests and students.
