Psalms 119:105 - Your word is a lamb to my feet and a light to my path…

As the TUK YCS family, we often have planned recollection and retreat sessions that lights up our paths in our spiritual journeys. This was the second scheduled event for the April- June academic term. The committee in-charge did a great job in planning for the event and mobilization of the members.

The TUK YCS recollection at Vincentian prayers House, Lavingston - Nairobi was a success. The members attending the event left school 8:20 am having a main goal of saving on time which is indeed a very valuable commodity. We managed to arrive at the venue on time for the commencing of the day’s activities.

The day’s theme was on the family which is formed through combination of majority of the church sacraments. The sacraments were defined as being the visible signs of the invisible grace of God. This makes the family a visible sign of the invisible grace of God due to how it is formed. We were encouraged to live an example of the holy family in that whenever we get into trouble we turn to seek for help from the lord God just as our Mother Mary and Joseph sought for Jesus from the temple after they realized he was missing.

The host understood very well that one can never work well with an empty stomach and we were miraculously provided with lunch which enabled us to get through with the day’s programme.

The session was very spiritual. It was inclusive of adoration and holy mass which marked the end of the day’s programme.
