Bishop David Kamau Nganga started his education studies at Ikinu Primary in Kiambu County in 1964 and completed in 1970. He joined Queen of Apostles Seminary for his secondary studies in 1971 until 1974. He later joined St. Augustine Seminary, Mabanga in 1975 for philosophy and later Theology at St Thomas Aquinas seminary, Nairobi Born in 1955, Bishop Kamau was ordained a Priest of his native Archdiocese of Nairobi in 1982.He was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Nairobi in 1999 and assigned the Titular See of Oëa Ordained a Bishop in March 2000, Bishop Kamau was appointed Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese of Nairobi following the retirement of John Cardinal Njue. His role as Apostolic Administrator of Nairobi Archdiocese ceased last November, when Archbishop Philip Anyolo was installed the Local Ordinary.
